What a parent told us.
A family whose child is in our elementary program, in their own words.
“GLA has been exactly what our child needed. The staff took the time to understand how our child learns, what motivates them, and where they needed support. We have seen growth not only academically, but also in confidence, communication, and independence. GLA has created a safe and supportive environment where our child feels seen and successful.”

A closer look
Elementary at Goodwin Learning Academy is one qualified teaching professional and one child, working together. Instruction focuses on foundational literacy, math, and social-emotional growth, delivered through multi-sensory learning and a customizable curriculum aligned with Arizona State Standards.
Every student's journey begins with a diagnostic process that establishes current reading and math performance, so teaching starts where your child actually is. From there, pacing belongs to your child: extra time where a skill needs it, room to run where they're strong.
Families choose the setting: in-home or virtual instruction for comfort and consistency, or sensory-friendly classrooms with small group learning opportunities on-campus. Whichever setting you choose, the model is the same: one-to-one instruction plus small-group time where it helps.
Here's what a typical day looks like for on-campus elementary students: 8:30-9:00 Morning Meeting, 9:00-9:50 Math, 9:50-10:20 ELA, 10:20-10:30 Movement Break, 10:30-11:00 ELA, 11:00-11:30 Social-Emotional Learning, 11:30-12:10 Lunch/Recess, 12:10-12:40 Mindfulness, 12:40-1:40 Social Studies/Art, 1:40-1:50 Movement Break, 1:50-2:25 Elective, 2:25-2:30 Dismissal. In-home and virtual elementary students follow an individualized schedule built around their family's routine; this daily structure is specific to students attending on our physical campus.
